Bystanders help family escape Roseville house fire
Two people were injured after a house fire in Roseville's Cresleigh Highlands neighborhood Saturday afternoon. A passerby spotted smoke, called 911, and helped the residents safely escape the home before firefighters arrived.

Community fundraiser for a Sierra College student's accessible van
The Roseville community is coming together to help 20-year-old Sierra College student Noah Whitaker replace his wheelchair-accessible van after it broke down. A lemonade stand fundraiser with local businesses and Mayor Krista Bernasconi will be held Sept. 8 at Rooftop Tea Coffee & Macarons in the Nugget Shopping Center on Pleasant Grove.

Local government impersonation scam warning
Authorities are warning residents about a scam involving criminals impersonating city and county planning or zoning departments. The emails claim a permit or application is under review before directing victims to pay a fake fee through an online portal or wire transfer.

Roseville Telephone Museum Permanently Closed
The Roseville Telephone Museum in Downtown Roseville has permanently closed. The museum housed one of the country's largest collections of antique telephones and telecommunications memorabilia, preserving a piece of Roseville's history dating back to its independent telephone company founded in 1914.
