Person Found Dead at Solaire Park
A man around 26 years old was found dead with an apparent gunshot wound at Solaire Park, prompting nearby Westbrook Elementary School to temporarily secure its campus. Roseville Police said there was no threat to the school, and detectives are investigating.

Bears spotted in Roseville and Rocklin
A bear was spotted near Foothills Boulevard between Blue Oaks and Pleasant Grove early Wednesday morning, with Roseville Police receiving three separate reports. A similar sighting was reported near homes in Rocklin the previous day, though it's unclear whether it was the same bear.
King Fire briefly prompts evacuation warning near Sierra College Boulevard
A roughly five-acre fire near Sierra College Boulevard and King Ranch Place prompted an evacuation warning for several nearby neighborhoods Saturday. Firefighters stopped its forward progress and the evacuation warning has since been lifted.
